Hi girls!
Finals are over and I just spent the weekend having fun with good friends and my family. I'm really excited for summer (I have SO MUCH FREE TIME right now it's just mind-blowing) and I can't wait to get some more blogs up :]
Unfortunately, I have a bit of bad news... I managed to crack my camera screen a few days ago and since it is a touch screen, it's like SUPER BAD NEWS! horrifying! So now, I can't change the settings on my camera at all. Blehh, it's forever stuck on NO FLASH. AH!! I will try my best to post as many pics as I can by using natural light though. It really bums me out because I got my camera just a little over a year ago.
Anyway, I hope all is well with you and I'm looking forward to catching up on everyone's blogs! Ahaha!

music!!
I'm busy studying for finals, so don't be expecting any posts from me right now :) (haha like anyone is! D:)
What do you do when you really need to focus on something? Are you the type who needs peace and quiet or do you function better with background noise (i.e: tv, music)?
Personally, I'm really flexible. I can tune out sounds when I study. Sometimes I prefer it because it's kind of creepy when things are too quiet! I hope you all are well and hopefully enjoying some beautiful weather these next few days - it's almost torture for me since the weather has been nice the past week and I've done nothing but hole up in my room and study! Yuck!

so busy...
Ack, I know I said I was busy before... but now it's super hectic - what with my finals coming up in two weeks and my incredibly slow but stressful moving to my new apartment. There's just a lot of personal mumbo jumbo that I have to deal with (and you most likely don't want to hear about :P), so yeah.
I want to share with everyone that I will have a room with REALLY GOOD LIGHTING next to a window! Yay sunlight! This means I'll be able to take pictures of myself without intensely awful quality ;), so be on the lookout for FOTDS and stuff!!! Hehee~ I might share with you all my makeshift vanity (I am sharing my room so there really isn't room for one, but my mom was wonderful and found a way to make it so I could have somewhere to do my make-up!!) and my new make-up organization. Of course, this is all going to happen after I move in... so in exactly 2 weeks I'll be done with school (for the moment!)...
I'm going to take summer school, but it's just going to be one class. I'm looking forward to diving back into the beauty blogging world! I miss reading up on everyone's blogs and everything :(
I feel like I am teasing everybody, telling you all I am going to post this and that blahblah... haha I am so mean! :(
Anyway, in other news the lovely Laura Beth is hosting another giveaway! How exciting :]
Look at the bomb prizes! She's seriously suchhhhh a sweet person! Check out the giveaway HERE!

I'll be more active in two weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to post here and there intermittently until then!! I hope you are all well and happy :)

PS: I have this cut on my finger that is healing... and it is soo itchy it is driving me CRAZY! What do you usually do to keep your scratching to a minimum??

i won something!
For the first time ever, I've won something. :] Laura Beth was doing a giveaway on her blog, and I won~ So exciting!! My week has been a drag, but this definitely made my day! Woo hoo! :]
I am in love with the colors. I've been using it for the past two days and I loove it! I was scared the colors would be too sheer, but they're just the right amount. Not intensely pigmented, but not too sheer. They show up well on my skin! Yay! And it comes with a double headed eye liner and this really nice brush for eyes (which I needed desperately.)
It's so versatile since I can mix and match the colors however I want. I loveeeee palettes! I've never had anything from Tarte before either, so this is so cool :]
THANK YOU THANK YOU LAURA BETH for this. If you haven't read her blog, you should definitely check it out. It's one of the blogs that I make sure I always catch up on when I go MIA from blogger for a few days. :]

life! a rant.
I don't understand how you all do it! It really amazes me that so many people have the time and dedication to make great posts about make-up and skincare so frequently. I was smashed with work this past week, and though this weekend was supposed to be amazing... a lot of stuff happened and I'm stuck feeling frustrated about life :/
I am the type of person who will focus the blame on myself rather than circumstances or others. Understandably, usually the situation calls for it (one's own irresponsibility or lack of common sense/communication)... but I feel like I am too harsh on myself at times.
I got myself committed into something and I was giving 500% effort where everyone else was just waiting to be told what to do. We are something new, and it requires 100% effort from everyone at least, and it was more like I shouldered everything and told everyone what to do. (Not told what to do in the sense of delegating duties... it was more of me writing out everyone's speeches and having them practice reciting it.) I tried shifting some smaller responsibilities, but they fell through and now I'm stuck trying to hastily put together a fundraiser that I COULD HAVE completely organized by last week if I had the right paperwork. Unfortunately, someone else failed to give me that paperwork (for the PAST THREE WEEKS, I might add!) and now it's going to be my fault if it doesn't get done.
Sorry for this rant, but I am just really sick of it. I am not even the head of this group, but I am literally doing 90% of the work. The only things I do not do are pass out flyers to people. I was so fed up this past weekend, that at our informational table I literally just walked away from them.
I'm sorry for this rant... I think I said that already, but yeah. I just need to vent a little bit before sucking it up and apologizing for running off like that.
I am moving into my new apartment soon (since I live on campus at the moment, and will be slowly transitioning into an ACTUAL APARTMENT SPACE!!), so expect lots of posts after this week. :] I am such a bad beauty blogger... :[
Hope you all had a lovely week/weekend~

Update
Hi everyone!
I've been so busy lately and I haven't been getting much sleep. I finally got it into my head that sleep > blogging. Haha... well no not really since I'm writing this so late at night. I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to this past week (product-wise!).
When I went home this past weekend, my sister gave me this bag full of Avon goodies. Her school had a fundraiser a few weeks back and I totally forgot I ordered stuff.
from left to right: Intensive Treatment Moisturizing Lip Treatment SPF 15, Beyond Color: SPF 15 with Double Retinol [clear & sugar cane], Lip Balm: Dew Kiss Lip Dew, Plumping Lip Conditioner Natural Glossy Lip Conditioner, Facial Hair Removal Cream
Look at all the lip stuff I bought!! You can see just from this, I'm pretty obsessed with lip care haha. So far, I've been using the Dew Kiss lip balm and the Beyond Color clear.
I also JUST got my package delivered from Cosme-de.com! YAY!! :] I'm so excited. It's like a present from my past hahaha!

As you can see from the pictures, I ordered O'slee's Whitening Sleeping Mask (I have two because it was YOU HAD TO BUY TWO, but yay haha I hope I like it!) and O'slee's Whitening BB Cream (it's a FOAM! SO WEIRD!). I will be using that for the next few weeks and review it for you all~

Here are the products next to a water bottle for size reference. I am horrible with sizes when I see oz. or mL so I always have lotion bottles, perfumes on my desk to use as estimates of what the product size is! Haha!

I got some goodies as well! Bunch of O'slee samples. I am eager to try that mask! I've never tried one of these masks before.

This was the free tote they gave with any purchase over $20 to celebrate their 2nd anniversary. If you like it, I think they still have it in stock. I was silly though - the picture they took had samples sprawled near it, so I thought it came with it. When I looked inside, I was like O_O WHERE ARE THEY?? Haha, silly me.
My week isn't over yet, but I will really try to finish up my H2O reviews soon.
I'll be having more posts this weekend for sure! I am going to have a lot more "me" time :]

quick little make-up survey
I was reading Laura Beth's blog and I saw this... and I thought.. WHY NOT! I only have like a million things to do... but doing this makes me happier and less stressful :] Laura Beth was so fun and creative and made it.
hehe, so here goes~
A survey for the Makeup Obsessed:
1. MAC or Sephora? I would have to say Sephora - I really like MAC but I'm a sucker for sales.
2. Your favorite feature on yourself? My lips? I pamper them too much so it must be that right??
3. One makeup item you could never live without? Definitely lip balm. I HATE dry lips!!!
4. Who are your three celebrity inspirations? I really love the look classy celebrities give off, but knowing I can't pull those off... I don't know. I honestly don't turn to celebrities for inspiration in how I wear my make-up. Beauty blogs on the other hand... hahaha!
5. Your favorite cosmetics line? I'm a make-up noob and I dabble in all the brands at the moment. Nothing has so far striked me as a god-send cosmetics line!
6. What is the most cash you EVER dropped on cosmetics? Umm, once I splurged with ~$94 at Ulta, but I returned some of the stuff. I think the most I have spent on make-up in one swoop is ~$66? I spend about ~$100 every two months (not really $50 per month.. more like $100 every two months when I have the luxury of going shopping).
7. What is your favorite daily product? I cannot start my day or end it without Aquaphor!!!!
8. If you had to sacrifice one makeup item for life, what would it be? I think it would be blush - my cheeks are normally slightly pink for some reason (because apparently I'm always excited or something), so I think I could do without blush for the most part.
9. How many cosmetic items do you carry in your purse everyday? I have about 10-20 products on me because I like to carry a bunch of lip balms around with me and a few glosses just because I like the option of changing what I wear throughout the day. I rarely carry other make-up, aside from powder and a touch-up eyeliner.
10. Would you say you have a makeup obsession? I think so... I really think so! D:
Okk, I had fun filling that out. :] Now I have to go work on the buttloads of crap I have to get done before sunrise tomorrow. :[
My weekend was amazing - I met the LOVE OF MY LIFE. Haha, jk. I just saw 2PM at the Korean Music Festival and it was so fun! So great! :]

Small Sephora haul...
I have been meaning to posting some reviews and some of my collection (in its entirety... geezzz), but I've been so busy and tired and sleep deprived that it's amazing. I'm amazing. Haha, just kidding.
Anyway, I just thought I would share with you what I ordered from Sephora the last day of their VIB 15% off. I got it online (and I was sooo mad I couldn't get some stuff because it was all out of stock! Boohoo) and I just received the order on Tuesday.
I bought the Philosophy cookbook because it seemed so yummy at the time (and I really wanted free S&H!!!). After looking at the item, I decided to return it because I honestly wouldn't use it all that much. I thought about gifting it away, but I recently purchased stuff from cosme-de.com and I didn't want to spend all that money. I thought I would save, so I returned it! I also got the Korres Cherry Lip Kisses lip gloss set (I am in love~) and the Urban Decay eye liner set. The colors are soo yum, and so usable in everyday wear!
Last Friday I went to my local Sephora and snagged a Mimosa lip gloss from Philosophy for $6! Yummm, what a deal. It smells nice and is shiny and glittery... as far as lip glosses go it's just ehh. I've never owned anything from Philosophy though, and now this lip gloss makes me want to try out more products.
I'm headed for home tomorrow and on Saturday I'm going to the KOREAN MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!!!!!! SO EXCITED! I've never been to a concert before!
Sorry if any of this post seems incoherent, I've been running on 8 hours of sleep for the past two days... bleh. I hope everyone has a good weekend! I'm really excited for mine!

and the search continues...
Bleh, it feels impossible (or at least overwhelming) in my seemingly futile search for HG anything... I want to try all the products out there to find the one that best suits me! I know reading beauty blogs and reviews won't make up for ME trying out the actual products, but I'm just toooo frugal to dish out the $$$ for the tests. I'm so shy and I don't like to ask for samples :/ I loved shopping at Sephora the other day. It was the first time an SA threw in samples with my purchase!! And it's so silly because it was the cheapest purchase I've ever made at Sephora (~$6!!!)...
Currently, I'm testing out these products in my attempt to find something that makes me go WOW, I'M NEVER GOING TO STOP BUYING THIS EVER!!!
...hasn't worked out so far. I stop using things when I start breaking out because I CANNOT STAND ACNE. I wear glasses (most of the time... since I am lazy about putting contacts in), so I'm constantly pushing them up or fixing my hair because my bangs are at this awkward length where they're not-quite-bangs but they don't yet fit in with the rest of my hair. My hand brushes against my forehead (it's not like I go out of my way to NOT TOUCH my face... it is a part of me haha!), so it puts me in a bad mood when I feel the bumps and know my skin is not even.
I don't give products even the slightest chance if they might make me break out or dry up. I don't mind the drying up so much since I use Aquaphor to solve my dry skin issues :D
Anyway, here's the products that I use the most (this is by no means all of it...) currently, my go-to grab it out and slap it on stuff!:
face stuff
(from left to right)
1st row: Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Medium Beige 006, Clinique Blushwear Cream Stick in Rosy Blush 03, Clinique Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher in Honey Blush 02, Smashbox Photo Finish foundation primer, Too Faced Primed & Poreless
2nd row: Make Up For Ever Lift Concealer in 02 (dark beige i believe?), Clinique Pore Minimizer in Invisible Deep 02, Clinique Superfit Makeup in Honey, Smashbox O-Glow, Smashbox Soft Lights in Dusk, Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Soft Plum
I also have a Revlon primer but I couldn't find it... I swear I saw it on my desk this morning. D:
But anyway... what I usually use goes like this...
eye stuff (with that random Smashbox highlighter/blush in there...)
(from left to right)
1st row: Generic lash curler that my sister gave me to persuade me not to get Koji Lash Curler at Mitsuwa, Covergirl LashBlast, Smashbox Bionic Mascara, Too Faced Lash Injection, UD 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Covet, Smashbox Soft Fusion in Baked Starburst, Stila Smudge Pot (minis - going clockwise - starry night/purple/kitten/black), CLinique Quick-Eyes Cream Shadow in Cocoa Shimmer and Truffle (i loveeed neutral colors), Victoria's Secret Mosaic Eye Shadow in Closer (this is SOO old, they changed the packaging D:), Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow in Peacock (MY FAVO! haha), Korres Eyeshadow in White
2nd row: Urban Decay palette (too lazy to see... but I LOVEE last call! one of my fav colors), M.A.C. Paint Pot in Blackground (with cap next to it heehe), Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow in Sparkling Sage/French Vanilla and Sunburst
I use other eyeliners, but those are oldies that I buy all the time - not too bad but not great. Stila Smudge Pots are being tested out for smudging on my waterline!!
Combinations I usually do on my eyes:
I wouldn't consider any of these an HG product just yet (they have to prove themselves to me. I was kind of hoping I would just KNOW it was my HG product when I put it on, but eh, what can you do?) so the hunt continues!
Right now I'm really focused on finding a good foundation - but in my search for it I've veered into the path of BB creams. They sound soo appealing to me. I'm really curious about trying one of SkinFood's BB creams (preferably the mushroom or aloe one.) and I was wondering if any of you had any insight/input about it! :] Is there another brand you would suggest for a first time BB cream user?
I'm going to try ordering one online (after I figure out if I am light enough to try the darker shades) after I receive my other orders -___-;; I went on a binge ordering spree this past weekend...
ANYWAY!
It was so difficult to upload those two images. My internet is being difficult :/ And... just previewed this post and I wrote so much. This is what happens after you go to the gym and run!! So much energy hehe :] Go out and do some jumping jacks! Bababa~
xoxo,
clover
PS: You will notice I did not include any lip products... I HAVE SO MANY OF THOSE that those probably require their own sub categories and its own post! And yes, I mean the ones I use regularly!! Haha! I might do a post on that soon, if I can get off my lazy butt and dig them out of my purses and backpack to arrange nicely for a photo!

Sorry for the absence...
Last week was stress-o-rama for me! And so, to compensate for it, I played a lot this weekend~ ^^
I think I might have played a little TOO much, but it's ok. I found myself a job so I feel a lot better about it all :] Posts about hauls and reviews to come this week! Woohoo!
Btw, has anyone ever ordered with Cosme-de.com before?

disappointed.
I know I am stressed, so breaking out isn't unheard of.. but the bumps on my forehead are NOT normal zits for me :[
I think the Revlon Photoready foundation is too heavy for me to wear, so I am going to be returning it this weekend... bleargh. Does anyone have suggestions for a nice, light foundation that leaves a dewy finish?
Blahhhh, have you ever been disappointed by a product that first appeared to work really well for you???
By the way, I'm currently addicted to Tazo Brambleberry tea!! yum~

expiration dates
Oh my god I was looking through my fridge for dinner and I realized I have just about a gazillion little containers of...
Yeah!! This yogurt! It expires this Wednesday!!!!! I hate wasting food, so guess what I'm going to be eating 24/7 for the next few days? I begged my roommates to gorge on it too... ahha we better eat it all! I hope I don't ruin my stomach with this. In case you didn't know, Activia is that new yogurt everyone was talking about a while ago. (what everyone? i didn't hear about it until my mom brought me some from costco and I did a little research) Apparently it's targeted towards women, and claims to help regulate your digestive system. (aka... helps you poop HAHA)
hahaha just thought I would share that would you guys! Also after a long deliberation, I caved in and placed my order on Sephora... -___- I didn't get what I really wanted to get since I waited so long... everything's like out of stock at the moment! Makes me maaaad aghghghgh LIKE THE HULK. This post is just full of weirdness. D:
I'm going to be putting up another review up in th next week... I hope!

Ulta...
So ULTA is currently having a 40% off of Almay/Maybelline/Revlon/ULTA cosmetics... so go crazy you guys!!! Haha, I wanted to. I restrained myself and ended up spending just ~$22 today.
I bought Maybelline Expert Wear Twin Brow & Eye Pencils in dark brown (it was the darkest shade they had) for $2.09, Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in soft plum for $4.13, Revlon's nail polish in Copperglaze Platinum for $1.31 WOOO, and Revlon's PhotoReady foundation in medium beige 006 and neutral beige 005. I'd take a picture, but I'm feeling so lazy and I wanted to get this posted before I started cramming all sorts of nonsensical information into my brain.
I was testing out the two shades of foundation (and wow, they made me look so nice!) but I can't tell which one is better for me. I literally put one shade on half of my face and half on the other, but I can't tell!!!!! I'm so bad at this D:
I was going to go to Sephora, but I was on a time constraint (shopping between classes, BAD ME!) and I think I splurged enough... :\ I really want to go to Sephora! But I don't have time and that drat coupon expires on the 19th. It wasn't meant to be I guess... Ho hum~ I hope you all have a good, relatively stress free weekend. :]
I'm on the lookout for a FABULOUS FOUNDATION BRUSH now! Ho ho ho!
Also, I noticed I have two followers (when'd that happen?? I'm so slow!) but OMGOSH YAY THANKS :] you made my day.
Alsoooooo, each time I get a comment my face looks like this...
Hahaha... seriously. I'm like way slow and I don't know how to do comments... oh wow that makes me sound way dumber. I meant like, RYC stuff. :\ No, I'm gona stop while I'm ahead because I'm just putting my foot in my mouth or whatever.
SO WOOOOO :] Ok, it's STUDY TIME.

H2O Plus Products Review part 1
This is my first review! I'm so excited and I hope I don't fudge it up! Haha, ok jitters aside..
This is going to be a series of reviews for Sea Results Line Mender, Sea Results Eye Mender Plus, Deep Sleep Recovery Cream, and Face Oasis Cleansing Water since I purchased this value set for $53.50 (because I am a huge sucker for value sets/combo packs/etc.). I got a small sample (in a cute bottle!) of the cleansing water and I am going to talk about it a little bit as well.
*this is going to be broken up into more than one post because I think I like to ramble on and the review is just overwhelmingly long.. so here we go! :]
First off... the Sea Results Eye Mender Plus!
Description (as on the website): "A rejuvenating contour cream that helps reduce under eye puffiness and wrinkles while helping prevent the formation of future fine lines."
Price: $36.00 Size: 0.5 oz or 15 mL
(which breaks down to $2.40 per mL!)
Where to get it: in H2O Plus stores duh! hehe ;] and on their website, ULTA has some of their products (but I don't know if this is one of them), and I believe Beauty 360 (CVS's mini beauty store?) is going to have it in the near future.
Background
This product was my entire reason for even trying out the H2O Plus line. It was also the reason I ended up with the value set. I can get this one thing for $36... or I could spend $17 more and get 2 other products to play with!!!! <- That is how I think.
The first thing I did was research some information online about this eye cream - unfortunately H2O Plus is one of those brands where they have really good products, but not very many things online. (at least, I couldn't find a lot... even MUA only had 1 review for this product!) I did manage to run across Iyah's review on her blog, which I have to say totally convinced me to get it. You should go check it out if you're considering this product because her review is way more legit (and it has PICTURES HAHA! who doesn't love pictures?? unless you have sucky internet... then you don't.)
How it went
After purchasing this back in late March (this is my fourth week straight using the eye cream), I have used it (like a good girl!) every morning and night. I'm barely into my 20s, but the past few years of school (I'm in my second year of college... which does NOT HELP) have taken its toll on my sleeping habits and I more often than not, get only 4-5 hours a night. I used to be able to catch up on my sleep during the weekends, but these past few months have not been good to me. haha. Needless to say, my eyes have dark circles the size of a truck - no not really. They're average sized, and they're not dramatically dark. I just have that perpetual "Oh look I have smudged a lot of black eyeliner under my eye" and it looks yuckers. I also rubbed my eyes a lot as a kid (and through high school... and now... when I wake up. Bad habit.) I think I rub them too hard because I've developed these intensive wrinkles. They don't look too bad now since I'm young, but in a few years people will notice them (even though I've always had them) and talk about HOW OLD I LOOK. I fear it. D:
Anyway, I was kind of dumb and I didn't take any before pictures... so it wouldn't help to show you after pictures (because then you will see the major wrinkles I have and think the product doesn't work and I should go rot in hell...) so no pictures. Also, I know I'm going to sound repetitive with this eventually but... my camera sucks. If I try to take a picture of my eye, it will flash in my eye and then my skin will be so bright you can't even see anything... I've tried.
My thoughts
After a month, all my fine wrinkle lines have pretty much gone away (only the big wrinkles are there). It does a good job of puffing up my eyes, though I can't say that it does anything noticeable with my dark circles. I don't look like a murderous hag when I go to class anymore, so I have to say I really enjoy that fact about this product. I used it faithfully every morning and night (and sometimes three times a day because I'd shower in the afternoon and... yeah you know... moisturize it up!). I've barely made a tip into my product, woowoo. So I definitely feel that I'm going to get my money's worth out of this tub.
I have fairly sensitive skin (apparently... something I just discovered awhile back), and when I used this product my eyes would sting quite a bit. It wasn't unbearable, but it sure was hella unpleasant. I realized it was because the cream did not mix well with the cleanser I washed my face with. My skin didn't like having the rough cleanser on it and then this eye cream for some reason. Maybe I made that up - it might have just been my skin adjusting to the cream... though I did not hear of anyone else going through something like that.
When I use this product, I use my ring finger, dip it lightly into the tub, and then distribute the product evenly under and over both eyes. I then pat it in lightly and allow it to soak into my skin. It works well this way, though it does take my skin a bit of time (2-5 minutes) to completely absorb the product.
This is my first eye cream that I've used consistently. I thought I would just put that out there.

♥ felt good on my skin, very smooth and creamy
♥ smells good
♥ delivered on its promise - made my eyes less puffy and helped get rid of my finer wrinkles (and I think it is helping diminish the severity of my larger ones)
♥ it is going to last you quite some time
♥ made my eyes look more awake (and made me look like I wasn't half dead)
Dislikes
~ the price. You could buy a lot of stuff with $36.
~ the difficulty in purchasing the item - I had to drive 1 hour away from my home to get to the closest store. I hate buying products without at least seeing them in person first. This is HUGE dislike and one of the reasons it took me so long to get my hands on it.
~ sometimes underneath my eye I would get little flakes on the inside corner (I don't know whether to attribute it to this product or hasty application of my eye sunscreen, but just thought I would mention it)
~ make sure to test it out in the store or get your hands on a sample (however difficult it may be, to make sure your skin is OK with all the ingredients in this product)
~ when you get it in your eye (which might happen a few times), it makes your vision blurry for awhile :[ it does not sting like crazy but it is very annoying!
Score: 83%
Surprised at the score?? With the way I was praising it? haha! No! Don't be surprised! Honestly, I really like this product but it is my first eye cream. When I run out of this (in like.. 8 months haha) I might be in the market for trying some other eye creams. This is something good to at least try (at least... that is how I feel), but I don't want to commit myself before trying more eye creams. In the future, I might change this score after living life and getting my fill of more eye products to try. But for now, with my weird sensitive skin I am limited in the cleansers I use.
I like this product a lot, but I did not fall in love with it. I would not call it my HG eye cream. I would consider repurchasing this in the future if I do not find something I like better.
*Note: This is just a word of warning for a mistake that I made when I initially found the gift set. (The GIFT FOR ME haha jk I'm going to shut up with the irrelevant comments) You might be thinking, OH MY GOSH WHAT A GOOD DEAL! Three full-sized products for $53?? Your brain might explode... but no. The Deep Sleep Recovery Cream and Sea Results Line Mender are actually both 1.7 oz/50 mL normally. So consider how much you would like to try those two products before jumping the gun and buying this. I have heard nothing but nice things about their customer service, but why go through the hassle if you just think about it wisely beforehand?
The next parts will come soon... hopefully! Haha!
I hope you enjoyed this review! If there is anything you would like to know more about this product, just ask! I'd love input on what you want to see in future reviews. :]

Blah
I feel like such a gloomy gus right now. School is stressing me out big time, my extracurriculars are fun but really time-consuming, and these hurdles I'm jumping to get my part time job started are all just weighing me down so much. I really want to go to Sephora and shop for a bit, but I can't give up any time that I could be using for studying or doing something productive. I haven't even had time to go the gym! I'm gona get chubbers even more than ever. :[
Also, I really reallyyyyyyyyy want to go to Sephora because there are some things I want to buy. And that 15% off coupon!!!!!!!! GOSHH!!! If anyone wants it, I have the PDF saved to my computer. :] If you need an online code, it's MADNESS. I forgot where I found that information... it's all over the internet really. Coupons and deals are my effing life.
Anyway, I'm just kind of bummed out right now because things just don't seem to be going my way. The only thing that makes me feel slightly happy is one of the clubs I'm participating in because I love love love planning and that's all I do for the club. Make-up makes me happy too. I loved my make-up today! (Didn't take a pic... I need a new camera haha mine sucks :[)
Used:
MAC paintpot [Blackground]
Korres eyeshadow [White]
Stila Smudge Pot [black]
Too Faced Lash Injection [black]
Smashbox Soft Fusion [Dusk] (I think this is what it's called? Haha, I'm being so lazy... blehhehe...)
Clinique Lipgloss [Guavagold]
I rarely use foundation/powder because I'm scared of clogging up my face. D: I really want to try Revlon's Photoready though! I have some powders, and a sample of some Clinique foundation (forgot the name).
Ok ok, so now it's HAMMER TIME... jk, no. It's studying time. :[

touching moments...
Hello all~
I was home this weekend and was watching UP with the sibs (illegaly :] hehe~) I left and went while they were amused by the entire film. There was a part that made me soo sad - I remember crying in theaters. I almost cried again!! So anyway, I thought I would compile a list of movie scenes that have brought me to the verge of tears (or actual crying!!).
I am a movie fanatic - I love love love love love movies! I think I might actually love movies more than makeup! Oh gosh!!!!! I love them. I don't think I can get that point across. haha.
SPOILERS BEWARE FOR UP AND MARY&MAX!!!!!!**********
These are in no particular order - just whatever I think up as I type.

1. UP (2009)
I think you'd have to have lived under a rock to not hear about one of the most talked-about films last year. This was a Pixar baby - quite akin to Finding Nemo. A basic summary of the film is an old man and a little boy go on an adventure together. That's the most bare basic plot summation I can give you haha. When I was trying to tell friends about it - they thought I was on drugs or something! It's such a random sounding film, but quite cute and endearing.
Anyway - the first five minutes had me holding back tears (and failing miserably). In the first five minutes of the movie, Pixar crammed in the life story of Carl Fredricksen... it was a short, adorable love story between his wife Ellie and him. Of course, they manage to grow old together, through the good and the bad - but as we start the adventure into the movie, Carl is alone since Ellie passed away... :(
I swear, those five minutes bought me! I was so captivated by the movie... I feel like the music played a huge huge role in it. Life is more emotional with background music.
2. UP (2009)
Ok - so this is the scene I was talking about at the beginning of this post. After Carl Fredricksen has made his adventure to Paradise Falls, and after going through a lot of trouble with Russell, Dug, and Kevin - he finally relaxes in his chair for some peace and quiet. He flips through a scrapbook his wife had made, and you can just see it in his face that he's disappointed that he never got to Paradise Falls with his wife. As he is about to close the book, something catches his eyes. He notices that his wife Ellie had added pictures of them, happily married. This is the part where my vision gets blurry from the fat tears!!!! He flips through more pages, and each page shows pictures of them, happily together - and on the last page... oh my gosh this broke me and I just bawled!!! Underneath the last picture, which is of Ellie staring off peacefully in her chair, she writes to her hubby "Thanks for the adventure! Now go have a new one!" Or something really similar to that... and Carl realizes he has to move on with his life. It really touched me - so much love in so few words. Aww, I'm about to cry now. HAHA!
I can't believe a kid movie could take me on such an emotional roller coaster.

3. Mary & Max (2009)
This is another animated film that came out last year - it wasn't as famous as UP but I think it was a really good clay animation film. Long story short, the story is about a little Australian girl named Mary and a socially-awkward man named Max from New York who become pen pals and each other's closest friend.
This movie has a lot of themes not really suited for children (e.g.: suicide), but I really loved it! There is a point in Mary's life (in the movie she starts out around 8 years old and she grows up during the movie) where she is depressed, her husband has left her, Max was angry with her and refused to talk to her, and she had no one. She tried overdosing on drugs - and there is just this scene where Que Sera Sera is playing, and she is dancing on the table. It just about killed me!! I literally could not stop crying.
Then, as she danced on the table, the movie made it so you could clearly see that Mary was pregnant... oh gosh. :[ I cried sooo hard.
4. Mary & Max (2009)
At the end of Mary and Max, Mary FINALLY goes to visit Max in New York. As she enters the apartment, you can't even imagine how I felt. I was so excited! They were going to meet! After all the hardships in their lives, these two lonely, sad people could finally meet each other FACE TO FACE and... I was pumped.
As Mary approached Max on the couch, she realizes he's dead. And the narrator then tells you that Max died that very morning, on his couch staring at his ceiling. I almost missed the next part of the movie because I was so devastated!!!!! Mary sits next to Max on the couch (she has her baby with her!), and looks around. As she takes in the environment, she sees all the trinkets that she had sent Max over the years. This was so touching. She looks up to the ceiling, in the same position as Max, and - this part was amazing. She saw all the letters she had written to him, from all those years, all stuck on the ceiling of his apartment. I lost it at the end of this movie. I LOVE this movie. So depressing but so so touching and moving.
SPOILERS END!!!!!!!!!*************
Okay, there's more but it's pretty late so I'm going to be a good student (haha yeah right) and go to sleep soon so I will end the list there.
If you have not seen Mary and Max, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Everyone I have talked to has never heard of this movie, but I just adore it so much. It's very dark at times, but funny at others. It made me laugh and it made me cry - it made me so lonely but so warm and happy. Ahhh!!
Also, Up is definitely recommended if you're not into darker movies. Up is woooooooo all the way around! There are some sad points where you just want to hug some of the characters, but - come on... it's Pixar! Seriously. A mini SPOILER! There's this part where they show a LITTLE BIT OF BLOOD and my sister was like 0_0!!!!!! ISN'T THIS PG??? hahaha.
Ugh... I brought my hamster to my apartment and it's already stinking up my room... crap! :[ What do I do?? WHAT DO I DO???? Haha, jk. Hope you had fun reading this. Tell me what your most touching movie scene was!

Retail Therapy
I do not want to appear to be a negative person or whatever, but I just wanted to write something in this blog. I haven't made any purchases in awhile (yay me for sticking to my resolution hehe), and I still want to wait at least another week before writing a review on some of the skincare products I have been experimenting with... so yeah. I thought I would just blog a bit about myself to let people get to know me a bit better. :]
Right now I feel that there is a lot of stress in my life - academics, family, friends, perpetual unemployment... urgh. It all just feels like huge burdens that I have to carry and sometimes I just feel that I can't take it. I'm not the type of person who will go around and tell her close friends every little bit of their life. I follow this idea that the world is a sad enough place, and you shouldn't going around aggravating it further... yeah. So I try to keep negative emotions hidden away because everyone goes through tough times. And we all make it through!
Currently, when I'm upset nothing cheers me up better than some RETAIL THERAPY!! Seriously, I love going to Sephora or Ulta and just looking at everything for an hour or two. It's amazing what just playing with testers will do for my mood. And oh golly, BUYING SOMETHING?? That's almost like heaven haha! So amazing.
I have been spending money too freely lately, so I have had to put a hold on retail therapy for now. I hope that when I find a job (which I hope will be very very soon! I hope someone wants me soon! eeearghhhhhh...), I will be able to save a bit from each paycheck to splurge on myself for a bit. I've been digging into my rainy day money (personal piggy bank ^^) for these current splurges, but it was painstakingly, long-saved funds that I spent so bleh. I know everyone feels like this sometimes - why did I just buy that? do i even need this?? what was i thinking?!
I don't usually regret what I buy because when it comes to make-up, I almost never buy anything over $20 that I do not extensively read about before purchasing. (Even if it's Sephora and their lovely return policy haha...)
My mom told me that she used to do retail therapy until she found a cheaper and more productive way to release stress. She cleaned the house! aha, I need to find a more productive stress relief. I will turn to the gym! Muahaha, and get so fit that I can beat up anyone!
Geezzz, it's almost 2AM. I think I'm just staying up late to avoid tomorrow, which is bound to be a gloomy day. :/ Not being negative, but I know it will be... cuz I'm psychic. jk.
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend! Btw, what do you guys think of Sonia Kashuk brushes? I'm looking into getting a few brushes just to have so I can stop applying everything with my fingers... I've heard 50/50 reviews on Sonia Kashuk but I've heard a lot of good things about EcoTools. Any other brands to consider? Price is a definite factor, but I hate brushes that shed. Yuckaronis!
